Eggdrop is a popular 'bot' used on Internet relay chat networks, primarily used to maintain control for the patrons of various IRC channels.
What is a bouncer?
A IRC bouncer allows you to maintain a specific hostname when you connect to an IRC network, and easier for other opers and bots to identify and give
privileges to. It also gives a degree of anonymity in that users cannot see where you are connecting to the bouncer from.
